Discrete segments of PVC tubing are connected on site to construct a series of installations that interfere with space, and raise questions about the public sphere. This series of shifting sculptures reframes the shared environment suggesting new ways of perceiving and experiencing it. In this work, the public realm is explored not only as a stage but as a vehicle and engine for creation. There is a constant emphasis on how public spaces can be rethought, reimagined, and reinvented.
The work sets out to investigate the textures of the public realm. To frame and reframe the city, and to create interactions between the performers and the passers-by, thus suggesting new ways of seeing and existing together with or in common spaces.
